Based in Milan since 2014, Twenty14 is an independent curatorial platform dedicated to contemporary visual culture, with a particular focus on photography-based practices. Initially established as a gallery in Piazza Mentana, Cinque Vie district, the project evolved in 2017 into a project space in the Città Studi area, shifting towards a more collaborative curatorial model through site-specific exhibitions, performances, and interdisciplinary projects. 

Between 2020 and 2024, Twenty14 was invited to conceive and lead the curatorial programme of Pananti Atelier, a Milan-based exhibition space established by the historic Florentine auction house Pananti.

Today, Twenty14 is directed by Matilde Scaramellini and Elena Vaninetti. Their practice spans curating, research, education, and curatorial consultancy, fostering collaborations with artists, galleries, institutions, and private clients. Alongside the development of exhibitions and public programmes, Twenty14 conceives and produces art projects across the public and private sectors. Education and knowledge sharing are integral to its practice: over the years, Twenty14 has organised workshops, mentoring programmes, portfolio reviews, and peer-learning initiatives for artists and cultural practitioners, while collaborating with educational institutions including Officine Fotografiche and the Istituto Italiano di Fotografia.

Recent collaborations include Valli Tessuti, Conti Marchetti Studio × FIAM, Invest Italy SIM, Gibellina PhotoRoad Festival, the Municipality of Portofino, Zona Monti Milano, and Milano Sei l’Altro.
